Pertamina Supply Gas Subholding 1,750 MMBTU Gas Earth Per Month To Bumbu Mi Instant Producer

JAKARTA Towards the end of 2022, Pertamina Gas Subholding, PT PGN Tbk distributes natural gas for the induction of PT Usaha Lestari Sehat (ULS).

One of the businesses from the PT United Family Food Group will use gas of 1,750 MMBTU per month or the equivalent of 50,000 M3 per month as fuel for the boiler.

PT ULS is an industry engaged in the food sector with spice products for healthy instant noodles.

Area Head of PGN Tangerang Bambang Purwanto conveyed PGN Group's commitment to providing and supporting the industrial, commercial and household sectors in Tangerang to be able to enjoy natural gas.

"Efficient and clean natural gas for the smallest to largest scale energy for industry can boost industrial competitiveness," he told the media, Tuesday, December 13.

According to Bambang, PT ULS produces healthy products for consumers who pay attention to a healthy lifestyle at economical prices. So the use of natural gas as clean and environmentally friendly energy in factories is the right choice in the production process.

Natural gas is the lowest fossil energy for emissions, so it is healthy for the environment because it does not produce excessive pollution.

In addition, said Bambang, in principle PGN wants to optimize domestic energy sources, namely natural gas. Natural gas sources are still sustainable in the next years, so they are beneficial for economic development and save energy imports.

Until now, the number of existing industrial customers in the Tangerang area is 323 industries. This means that the Tangerang area is familiar with natural gas and supporting infrastructure. In total, there are 452 KM of natural gas networks in Tangerang whose natural gas development and utilization will continue to be improved," Bambang continued.

PGN continues to intensify the introduction of benefits and values of natural gas to the public, not only industry players, so as to attract interest in using natural gas.

In addition to industry, PGN in the Tangerang area has served 20,377 Home Connections (SR), 12 commercials, and 111 small customers.

The total volume of natural gas distributed is 67.64 BBTUD.

Bambang added that his party will continue to develop existing markets and develop new markets for both Industry and Commercial through gas pipelines.

PGN also supports the expansion of gas lines in Tangerang Raya such as South Tangerang City, Tangerang City, Tangerang Regency, Serang Regency, and Lebak Regency to achieve the target of 1 million jargas.

The use of natural gas is a paradigm to bridge the use of 100 percent EBT. Given the potential for large utilization of natural gas supply sources, PGN increases capacity. So not only relying on gas pipelines, we will develop LNG using non-pipeline infrastructure. With this, industry and households that are still far from pipelines can be served," concluded Bambang.
