JAKARTA - The Ministry of Industry (Kemenperin) through the Directorate General of Small, Medium and Multifarious Industries (IKMA) facilitated dozens of small and medium industry players (IKM) to appear in the 2022 Gebyar IKMA event.

Gebyar IKMA 2022 will be held at Mall Kota Kasablanka, South Jakarta, on 9-11 December 2022 with various activities.

Those who participated were finalists and winners in prestigious competitions in the field of IKM.

"The 2022 IKMA Festival is a great opportunity for IKM in the food sector, fashion, craft, and startup providers of technology solutions to show off their best products and meet potential investors," said Director General of IKMA at the Ministry of Industry Reni Yanita, in Jakarta, Monday, December 12.

Gebyar IKMA 2022 carries the theme Fostering Innovative, Sustainable Small and Medium Industries, with the intention of affirming the real steps taken by the Directorate General of IKMA at the Ministry of Industry in encouraging IKM players to be more innovative.

"In addition, they are also expected to meet the goals of sustainable development goals in order to seize new opportunities amidst the rapid development of market needs, technological advances, and global dynamics," said Reni.

In addition to handing over awards to innovative IKM players, said Reni, his party also held a product exhibition for finalists and recipients of four IKM awards from the Directorate General of IKMA at Mosaic Walk, Kasablanka City Mall, Jakarta.

Reni said, as many as 80 IKM finalists for the One Village One Product (OVOP) Award, the Indonesia Food Innovation (IFI) Award, the Indonesia Fashion and Craft Awards (IFCA), and the Startup4Industry Award showcased their best products at the Gebyar IKMA platform.

"Not only that, as a continuation of this award program, the Directorate General of IKMA also held a business matching meeting between IKM participants in the IFI 2022 food camp with hotel sector companies, investors, distributors, retailers, banking institutions, and financing institutions," he explained.

In addition to food IKM, there are also business meetings aimed at potential startups with investors and other private sectors.

Business to Business (B2B) Speed Dating is a program designed with Angel Investment Network Indonesia (ANGIN) and the Basic Incubator with the aim of matching 23 startups suspended from the Directorate General of IKMA with business partners, both from venture capital and the private sector to produce innovation.

"Temu bisnis ini dapat menjadi kesempatan bagi industri menengah/besar atau investor untuk mendapatkan vendor yang defat memelesai tantangan perusahaan atau mendapatkan startup untuk mengembangkan lini bisnis baru dengan implementasi teknologi 4.0," imbuh Reni.

Dozens of startups in Speed Dating come from the logistics, construction, automation and robotics, agriculture and plantations, technology manufacturing and providers, software, waste management and circular economy, as well as e-commerce startups and professional services.

This Speed Dating, said Reni, can also be a joint research and development arena for companies that intend to expand their market/test their products or business models to suit market tastes.

"Hopefully the collaboration that was created can have a positive impact on the progress of IKM in the country so that it can support strengthening the competitiveness of the national industry," he said.
