PT PLN (Persero) signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) to supply reliable and competitive electricity to support industrial growth in Central Java.

This MoU was carried out between the PLN Central Java and DI Yogyakarta Main Distribution Units and PT Central Java Lahan Andalan and PT Aneka Gas Industri, PLN will supply a total electricity of 50.2 megavolt amperes (MVA).

The signing of the MoU was carried out by General Manager of PLN Central Java and DI Yogyakarta (UID Jateng and DIY) AB Wahyu Jatmiko with the Director of PT. Aneka Gas Industri Agus Purnomo and Director of PT. Central Java Lahan Andal on Friday (2/12) in Semarang.

To the Department of Energy and Mineral Resources (ESDM) of the Central Java Provincial Government, Sujarwanto welcomed the MoU between PLN and industry players in Central Java. According to him, PLN's collaboration with the industrial sector will further improve the economy in Central Java.

"Central Java's economic growth is still above 5 percent, so let's continue to synergize and work to support Central Java's economy to help support the national economy," said Sujarwanto in an official statement, Wednesday, December 7.

General Manager of PLN UID Central Java and DIY, AB Wahyu Jatmiko said, PLN is committed to continuing to support electricity needs in the industrial sector.

"Through this MoU, PLN hopes to open the door to investment as much as possible in Central Java and Yogyakarta provinces, where PLN is always ready to provide electricity needs according to customer needs," said Jatmiko.

Based on the MoU, PLN will distribute 23.2 MVA electricity to the new PT Aneka Gas Industri plant located in the Batang Integrated Industrial Zone.

The plant has the potential to become a factory with the largest industrial gas production capacity in Indonesia with an estimated production of 150200 tons per day.

PLN will also support electricity supply in industrial areas from PT. Central Java Industrial Park Sayung (JIPS) located in Demak.

In this industrial area which has an area of 300 hectares, PLN will distribute electricity with a total power of 27 MVA.

"Please do business and invest comfortably, electricity matters are left to PLN," said Jatmiko.
