The Ministry of Finance (Kemenkeu) noted that the distribution of funds for the National Economic Recovery Program (PEN) in East Nusa Tenggara (NTT) increased by Rp480 billion, bringing the total value disbursed to Rp5.45 trillion as of November 2022.

"The distribution of PEN funds continues to move up from the previous Rp4.97 trillion to Rp5.45 trillion as of November 2022 for a number of recovery clusters, namely health, social protection, and the economy," said Head of the Regional Office of the Directorate General of Treasury of the Ministry of Finance. NTT Province Catur Ariyanto Widodo quoted from Antara, Tuesday, December 6.

He said this was related to the progress of distributing PEN Program funds for economic recovery in NTT in 2022.

Funds distributed, he said, to support the economic recovery of NTT which are divided into three clusters, namely health in the form of claims for COVID-19 patients and incentives for health workers.

The social protection cluster consists of the Family Hope Program (PKH), Direct Cash Assistance (BLT) for Goreng Oil, BLT for Basic Food, and BLT for Village Funds and economic recovery clusters in the form of development in the fields of Public Works and Public Housing such as labor-intensive, tourism, food security, infrastructure for connectivity, and other priorities.

Catur said, increasing PEN spending shows that the state revenue and expenditure budget (APBN) continues to play a role in protecting and protecting the economy.

"APBN continues to perform as a shock absorber for the economic recovery of NTT which is expected to grow faster through the use of the state budget," he said.

The Ministry of Finance, he said, would continue to oversee the implementation of the APBN in the regions so that it remains responsive, flexible, and sustainable, to support NTT economic growth.

He added that in the implementation of the budget, support from various elements of society is also needed to jointly oversee to ensure that the distribution of the budget is right on target in the community.

"Every fund disbursed from the APBN belongs to the community so it needs to be monitored so that it can provide optimal benefits for the community," he said.
