Successfully Carry Out Business Transformation, PLN Achieves Best BUMN Awards 2022

PT PLN (Persero) won the 2022 BUMN's The Best in Category Energy, Oil, and Gas Industry award for the results of innovation through the company's transformation of the digitalization system and Good Corporate Governance (GCG).

This achievement was obtained at the Indonesia Best BUMN Awards 2022, which was won by the Warta Ekonomi Group, last Wednesday, November 30.

In his remarks, Expert Staff for Finance and MSME Development at the Ministry of SOEs, Loto Srinaita Ginting, said that the current economic condition had an impact on BUMN's performance which began to improve and showed results that were close before Covid-19.

It is hoped that this will be a step for SOEs to rise and contribute more to Indonesia's development and economy.

"Several transformation steps have been taken by the Ministry of SOEs. namely the clustering of SOEs and the establishment of BUMN holdings, increasing transparency through going public and expanding their business to foreign countries or going global," he said.

Congratulations to all SOEs, who have won awards. I hope to maintain and improve performance in the future. Even if faced with the threat of a global recession, it still makes Indonesia recover faster, rise stronger," he said.

Meanwhile, the Director of Transmission and System Planning of PLN, Evy Haryadi, thanked the Warta Ekonomi Group for its extraordinary appreciation for PLN's performance.

According to him, in the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic until last year, many observers predict that PLN will experience many problems, such as reduced demand, financial burdens and others.

"We do not give up, we carry out transformation, innovation and efficiency with the foundation of digitalization. Even PLN still stands firmly in the future, Alhamdulillah," he said.

PLN also managed to improve the customer system, one of which was PLN Mobile.

Initially, the PLN Mobile rating was only 2.5, but it could increase dramatically to 4.8. The transformation results can be seen from the number of downloaders recorded at more than 35 million downloaders.

"As a follow-up to the G20 Summit in Bali, PLN also has a new task of overseeing the energy transition going forward. We are excitedly committed to helping to achieve Net Zero Emission 2060," he concluded.
