JAKARTA - The Financial Services Authority (OJK) is said to continue to encourage the strengthening of anti-corruption integrity and culture in the financial services industry. Most recently, one of the steps taken was to encourage the role of women to foster character and moral honesty in the family environment.

Chairman of the OJK Board of Commissioners Mahendra Siregar said women play an important role or as the pillar of the state in helping prevent corruption from the smallest environment, namely family to state.

"Inspiraling women can play a strategic role in upholding an anti-corruption culture," she said in a written statement while participating in a webinar entitled Woman of Integrity (WIN), Tuesday, November 29.

On the same occasion, Foreign Minister Retno Marsudi stated that women always have a central role in developing people's values. He said, the value of honesty in fostering an anti-corruption sense can be developed as a cultural value that is applied in everyday life.

Similarly, the Chairman of the OJK Audit Board Sophia Wattimena in her presentation said that corruption is an extraordinary crime, so eradicating it requires extraordinary ways in achieving solutions.

Sophia added that integrity is the main value for every OJK person and must serve as a guideline in their activities.

For information, to increase integrity in the OJK and the financial services industry (IJK) has now attended an antifraud assessment program accompanied by the implementation of the whistle blowing system (WBS), and the submission of the State Administrators Wealth Report (LHKPN).

In addition, in collaboration with the Corruption Eradication Commission, the OJK is currently reviewing the mandatory implementation of the Anti-Bribery Management System (SMAP) in all financial services industries.
