JAKARTA - Aulia, a small and smart girl from Pasir Muncang Village, Cianjur who felt the impact of the earthquake looked cheerful. She was playing in the trauma healing held by volunteers from PT PLN (Persero) through the Baitul Maal Foundation (YBM) PLN.

It was seen that he was excited to participate in activities and even asked the volunteers to stop by playing at his evacuation post.

"I want to go home, tea (brother). Thank you, tea, so I like to play with and study like earlier," he said innocently releasing the volunteers who left the refugee camp, quoted from PLN's official statement, Monday, November 28.

The mothers at the Pasirmuncang location also feel happy and appreciate the presence of volunteers who can help children escape from the trauma caused by the earthquake.

In addition to maintaining light of electricity since the beginning of the disaster, PLN has also deployed humanitarian volunteers in evacuation locations. Through YBM, PLN sent dozens of volunteers to provide trauma healing for children who survived the earthquake.

These volunteers are students who receive PLN YBM educational scholarships from various regions. This trauma healing action has been carried out since the visit of President Joko Widodo and PLN President Director Darmawan Prasodjo on Thursday, November 24.

Faisal, one of the PLN YBM volunteers from Bandung expressed his joy at being able to share with earthquake survivors through this trauma healing program. The activities held in refugee tents were greeted enthusiastically by the children.

"Village healing activities are carried out on refugee children at affected posts. Children's responses are varied themselves. It's nice, they are entertained and cared for," he said.

Faisal said that from the activities held by volunteers in Babakan Cangklek Village, for example, he found children who were traumatized and afraid to enter the building. This can be seen from the drawing activities held by volunteers for children.

"There is a child who has 3 children. He then drew a mountain with an illustration of the house and it was written that my house collapsed. Their psychiatrist was indeed disturbed. The trauma was very deep," he said.

Seeing this condition, Faisal and his team were more enthusiastic to help the children to be able to get excited again. He was also happy that this activity with YBM PLN received support.

Faisal said that the parents of these children were also very grateful because the volunteers had helped restore the child's inner atmosphere so as not to get involved in concerns due to the earthquake. Several games, disaster songs, and coloring competitions were held to restore the happy atmosphere of children.

So far, the activities held by YBM PLN have reached 161 beneficiaries from 3 refugee camps, namely in Pasir Muncang, Sukanakh, and RSUD Sayang. The next volunteers will continue their activities in the next few weeks to provide support for the survivors of the Cianjur earthquake.

YBM PLN is an institution that manages zakat funds from PLN Muslim employees. Through this zakat fund, YBM PLN distributes to beneficiaries with various programs.
