West Sumatra Targets Regional Revenue To IDR 167.4 Billion In 2023

The chairman of the West Sumatra DPRD, Supardi, stated that from the results of the discussion of the 2023 Regional Revenue and Expenditure Budget (APBD), the regional revenue target was agreed with the West Sumatra Provincial Government to increase by Rp. 167.4 billion.

"This target makes the amount of regional income in the 2023 West Sumatra APBD of Rp. 6.4 trillion from the previous year of more than Rp. 6.2 trillion," he said, quoted from Antara, Sunday, November 27.

Meanwhile, regional spending also increased from IDR 6.5 trillion and increased in 2023 to IDR 6.7 trillion.

In addition, regional financing is planned at IDR 350,000,000,000 or greater than originally planned at IDR 300,000,000,000.

West Sumatra Governor Mahyeldi Ansharullah said the series of trials that had been held had drained the energy together, but were a responsibility in accommodating the aspirations and needs of the community.

After being approved by the Draft Regional Regulation on the APBD for Fiscal Year 2023, in accordance with the provisions of Government Regulation Number 12 of 2019 concerning Regional Financial Management, there are three stages that must be passed, namely submitting the West Sumatra 2023 APBD agreement to the Ministry of Home Affairs for evaluation, then following up on the results of the evaluation, and compiling DPA-SKPD as the basis for implementing the APBD for the budget year.

"For this reason, we ask all SKPDs to immediately prepare documents for the implementation of programs and activities as outlined in the DPA-SKPD along with cash budget plans, so that programs and activities can be completed on time, while still trying to achieve the goals and quality of the implementation of programs and activities, this is so that we all pay attention and commitments," he said.

Previously, the deputy chairman of the West Sumatra DPRD, Irsyad Syafar, said that during the introductory note of the West Sumatra RAPBD submitted by the governor of the projected regional income proposed in 2023, it was Rp. 6,264,045,360,018 and regional expenditures of Rp. 6,544,045,369,018 and regional financing of Rp. 300,000,000,000.

"In this regard, of course, the factions have explored the content of the Ranperda on the 2023 APBD, identified all problems in regional development and paid attention to regulations related to the formation of the APBD, which are used in the preparation of the general views of the factions," he said.

According to him, the budget policies, programs and activities proposed in the 2023 West Sumatra Provincial Regional Budget Regulation, still need to be sharpened and harmonized with Permendagri Number 84 of 2022 concerning Guidelines for the Preparation of the 2023 APBD.
