President Director of PT PLN (Persero) Darmawan Prasodjo said that PLN's commitment to supporting the government in increasing the Domestic Component Level (TKDN) was very large.

One of them is by holding an exhibition at the Domestic Component Level (TKDN) entitled PLN Local Content Movement for The Nation (Locomotion) 2022.

Carrying the theme Building Synergy of Local Content for Indonesia s Energy Transition, this activity will be carried out on November 23-24 2022 at the Exhibition Hall B Jakarta Convention Center (JCC).

"PLN continues to be committed to encouraging TKDN to support the improvement of industrial competitiveness as well as the support from PLN for the government to achieve the vision of an Advanced Indonesia in 2045 through economic transformation," Darmawan told reporters, Tuesday, November 22.

The TKDN achievement from PLN until September 30, 2022, is 48.8 percent. This achievement has exceeded this year's target of 42 percent.

Darmawan explained that this achievement was fulfilled through the synergy of SOEs and collaboration with the private sector. PLN consolidates the use of domestic content and builds a stronger domestic industrial ecosystem.

"The main components that used to be only imported, can now be produced domestically. The expenditure budget that previously flowed abroad, now flows and rotates domestically. SMEs and SMEs, which used to be spectators, are now directly involved in the electricity industry supply chain. Technicals and experts who used to come from foreigners, now come from technicians and local experts," said Darmawan.

PLN believes that the energy transition can be a momentum to encourage the transformation of the domestic industry. PLN is ready to become the locomotive of national economic drive, create jobs, increase capacity, and encourage competitiveness in the international arena.

"Even though it has exceeded the target, PLN does not want to be complacent. Therefore, PLN initiated the TKDN exhibition in order to increase synergy and collaboration to increase TKDN in the electricity sector," he explained.

Through this event, PLN will bring together local business people with market targets aimed at encouraging the improvement of the local product ecosystem, building synergies between local agencies and producers and MSMEs.

PLN also invites students and students to see the domestic electricity industry firsthand.

This TKDN exhibition will later consist of several events. The first is an exhibition to expand the partnership network and strengthen collaboration between business partners and end users and stakeholders.

Then talk shows that will discuss roadmaps and challenges in the electricity sector, as well as opportunities for an electrifying lifestyle ecosystem in Indonesia and roles in increasing the use of domestic production.

Then there will be a Focus Group Discussion (FGD) with policies and regulations in support of increasing the capability of the national industry in electricity infrastructure; mastery of technology by national industries in supporting the electricity energy transition; as well as business prospects and national upstream and downstream industrial market opportunities in implementing the electricity energy transition.

In this event, a number of collaborations will also be signed with stakeholders and strategic partners as well as awards as a form of appreciation and support committed to implementing TKDN.
