Affected By The Earthquake, OJK Orders A Press Conference At The Floor Office For The Sake Of Safety

The Financial Services Authority (OJK) has decided to cancel a press conference on the results of the 2022 Indonesian National Literacy and Financial Inclusion Survey (SNLIK) which is planned to be held this afternoon in Jakarta following an earthquake in parts of the western region of Java Island.

A VOI source within the OJK had said that shortly after the earthquake, all employees were asked to leave the Radius Prawiro Tower office of the Bank Indonesia Office Complex, Jakarta.

"Evacuation first all the contents of the building," said the editor's source on Monday, November 21.

Meanwhile, the certainty of the cancellation of the agenda was conveyed by the Director of Public Relations (Humas) OJK Darmansyah in a written statement.

"In connection with the earthquake conditions this afternoon and for the sake of mutual safety and security, we have postponed the Press Conference this afternoon," said Darmansyah.

He also could not reveal further whether the press conference would be shifted to the following day.

"We will immediately convey the next schedule at the first opportunity. Once again, I apologize and thank you for your attention," he stressed.

For information, the press conference on the results of the 2022 Indonesian National Literacy and Financial Inclusion Survey (SNLIK) will initially be held on Monday, November 21 at 13.30 to 15.30 WIB, at the Radius Prawiro Tower 25th Floor, Bank Indonesia Office Complex, Jakarta.

Meanwhile, the official appointed by the authorities to deliver the press statement material is a member of the OJK Board of Commissioners for Education and Consumer Protection, Friderica Widyasari Dewi.

As is known, the BMKG released the Sukabumi earthquake that was felt in Cianjur to Jakarta from the Cimandiri fault. This earthquake had a magnitude of 5.6 on a richter scale with a depth of 11 km and occurred at 13.21 WIB.
