Take ADVANTAGE Of The B20 Momentum, ID FOOD Food Holdings Conduct Business Meetings With The UAE

JAKARTA - Food holding BUMN ID FOOD also attended the 2022 Indonesian Business 20 (B20) forum.

At the B20 momentum, ID FOOD held a business meeting with companies from the United Arab Emirates (UAE) in Bali, 11-12 November 2022 to expand the potential for cooperation in the food sector, especially agriculture such as rice, to fruits.

"There is the potential for expansion of cooperation in the food sector with the UAE, in addition to the investment plan for the revitalization of the Rice Milling Unit (RMU) managed by the ID FOOD Group, at this business meeting there are also discussions of other potential collaborations to increase the food trade sector including palm fruit, and Indonesia tropic fruit, collaboration of food and local private sector actors in Indonesia," said Frans Marganda Tambunan, President Director of Food Holding ID FOOD.

As is known, continued Frans, Indonesia is rich in the production of archipelago tropical fruit which has added and is competitive for the domestic and international market, so the ID FOOD supports the Indonesian government for the potential global level of trade opportunities for fruit commodities. Meanwhile, the UAE is the world's largest palm exchange exporter, and the interest in consumption of dates in Indonesia is quite large, so according to him, there are opportunities for increased food trade that can be collaborated with related companies in the UAE and food businesses in Indonesia.

"We continue to expand synergies for the potential increase in food trade, including collaboration with the Indonesian Chamber of Commerce and Industry, as a form of synergy between the government, food SOEs and business actors," said Frans.

Director of Business Development and Control of Food Holding ID FOOD, Febriyanto added that through this B20 momentum, there is a chance to expand the international business community for ID FOOD, so that there is also the opportunity to gain the trust of the global community for business cooperation with ID FOOD.

In addition, Chairman of the Indonesian Chamber of Commerce and Industry M. Arsjad Rasjid said that the holding of B20 Indonesia this time was not only discussing recommendations, but also related to inheritance and action.

According to him, the B20 Indonesia agenda is in line with the G20 so that it can be said that it is a form of mutual cooperation between the government and business actors.
