Pull WIsman, BRI Provides Online Payment Facilities Through E-Visa

JAKARTA - PT Bank Rakyat Indonesia (Persero) Tbk provides online payment facilities for the submission of Visa visits to Indonesia (e-VoA and e-Visa).

This effort was made to encourage the convenience of foreign tourists (tourists) to travel and make Indonesia's name increasingly known in the tourism aspect.

BRI's Director of Consumer Business Handayani said this allows foreign tourists (tourists) to apply for Visa digitally through the Immigration website (Molina.imigration.go.id) and make real-time payments online using debit cards and credit cards bearing the Visa, Mastercard and JCB logos.

"Online payment also makes it easier to manage BNPB Visa Visit fees so that transactions can run cashless and realtime," he said in an official statement, Saturday, November 12.

Therefore, continued Handayani, payments from Bank cards between countries via e-Visa make the applicable exchange rate a real-time exchange rate at the time of transaction, including Visa fees and service fees.

"With this system, it will open up tourism and economic potential at large in Indonesia as well as a milestone for the innovation of public services of the Directorate General of Immigration. The economy in the tourism sector and agreements in multinational business meetings are facilitated and have implications for the presence of new job opportunities," he said.

Furthermore, Handayani revealed that the implementation of online payments in the e-Visa system also encourages payment simplification.

Handayani targets BRI's acquisition business transactions to reach IDR 130 trillion this year. He is optimistic that this target can be achieved considering that there is currently an increasing momentum for foreign tourist visits to grow rapidly.

The Central Statistics Agency (BPS) noted that the number of foreign tourist visits to Indonesia increased significantly from 120,100 foreign tourists in September 2021 to 538,135 foreign tourists.
