Private Jet For Transportation Guests Invited To The G20 Summit Asked To Park At Banyuwangi Airport

JAKARTA - The G20 Summit in Bali is only a matter of days. At the peak, private jets or private jets will be more frequent in the sky of the Island of the Gods.

The private jet will transport the head of state to the bosses of leading world companies visiting the G20 Summit.

Then, where did the private jet park?

President Director of Angkasa Pura I Faik Fahmi said that his party does not yet have a definite list of how many private jets will enter and go out to escort guests from the G20 Summit.

However, Faik estimates that many private jets will come to Bali during the G20 Summit.

"The most difficult thing to predict is private jets, so every time he can come. If they are regular VIPs, they are long ago. But what is clear is that there are many (personal jets)," he told reporters, quoted on Tuesday, November 8.

Even so, Faik admitted that he had made a number of preparations to overcome the arrival and departure of private jets during the G20 Summit.

Faik said the private jet only escorted guests from state invitations and would not park at I Gusti Ngurah Rai International Airport, Bali.

Furthermore, Faik explained, later the private jets will be directed to park and stay at the airport that has been prepared, namely Banyuwangi Airport.

"We are preparing for the private jet to stay at Banyuwangi Airport. They drop, immediately pull it to Banyuwangi. So whoever comes, God willing, it can be served," he explained.

The consideration of choosing Banyuwangi Airport to be a parking lot and stay for the private jet of guests of the G20 Summit, said Faik, is because the distance between the airport and the Island of the Gods is not too far away, it can even be reached with 30 minutes.

Furthermore, Faik said, if Banyuwangi Airport was not enough to accommodate the private jet of G20 guests, his party had prepared a backup airport in Semarang, Central Java.

"We have prepared (the airport) of Semarang, if possible, we need (an additional place to stay for private jets)," he said.
