BPJT: The Progress Of The Cimanggis-Cibitung Toll Road Development Section 2A Has Achieved 87.52 Percent

JAKARTA - The Ministry of Public Works and Public Housing (PUPR) through the Toll Road Regulatory Agency (BPJT) revealed that the progress of the construction of the Cimanggis-Cibitung Toll Road Section 2A for the Jatikarya - Cikeas Interchange (SS) reached 87.52 percent. Head of BPJT Danang Parikesit said the construction of the Cimanggis - Cibitung Toll Road managed by the Toll Road Business Entity (BUJT) of PT Cimanggis Cibitung Tollways with a total length of 26.47 Km consisting of 2 sections, namely, Section 1A of the Cimanggis - Jatikarya Section of 3.17 Km has been operating since October 26, 2020. "Then for Section 2A the Jatikarya - SS Cikeas 3.50 km construction progress will reach 87.52 percent, and it is targeted to be completed in the near future," said Danang in his statement in Jakarta, quoted from Antara, Tuesday, November 1. As for Section 2B of the 19.80 Km Cikeas - Cibitung section, the construction progress has reached 69.24 percent, and is expected to be completed by the end of 2023. The Cimanggis - Cibitung Toll Road is part of the Jakarta Outer Ring Road (JORR 2) network structure connected between toll roads in the Greater Jakarta Metropolitan area as a center for national activities. This toll road is connected directly to the Cibitung - Cilincing Toll Road which is currently operating up to Section 3, then becomes the connecting access from Cibubur to the Jagorawi Toll Road, and is connected to 5 other sections of the JORR 2 Toll Road. The presence of the Cimanggis - Cibitung Toll Road will also increase the capacity of roads that cross four areas, namely Depok City, Bekasi City, Bogor Regency, and Bekasi Regency. In addition, it also cut the travel time for driving which is getting faster, previously from the Transyogi / Alternative Cibubur road access via the Jagorawi Toll Road and vice versa it can take more than 30 minutes, but with the absence of the Cimanggis - Cibitung Section I Toll Road, it only takes a faster travel time of about 5-10 minutes. This toll road is also one of the solutions to reduce traffic density from the Cikampek Toll Road to Jakarta or to Bogor without having to go through Jakarta. For information, the JORR 2 toll road network consists of the Cengkareng - Batu Ceper - Kunciran (14.2 km) Toll Road, Kunciran - Serpong (11.4 km) Toll Road, Serpong - Cinere Toll Road (10.1 km). Then continued the Cinere - Jagorawi Toll Road (14.6 Km), Cimanggis - Cibitung Toll Road (26.47 Km), and Cibitung - Cilincing Toll Road (34 Km).
