JAKARTA PT Bank Mandiri (Persero) Tbk admits that business travel in 2023 is more challenging than this year's period.

Bank Mandiri Director of Finance and Strategy Sigit Prastowo said, although the dynamics are more diverse, his party believes that the company can continue to record positive growth.

"We believe we can grow above the industry, both for credit and third party funds (DPK)," he said when holding a press conference on Wednesday, October 26.

According to Sigit, Bank Mandiri has prepared a special strategy in the form of aggressive but prudent expansion while still focusing on regional power and also the portion of credit covered with good colateral.

"In terms of third party funds, we will focus on increasing transactions in digital applications which will encourage the CASA ratio," he said.

Sigit explained that the company's CASA ratio as a bank only as of September 30 is at the level of 73 percent and will continue to be maintained at around 75 percent in the next few years.

"We see that the high ratio of CASA can help maintain the cost of funds amidst the trend of increasing the benchmark interest rate," he said.

On the other hand, he continued, as a wholesale bank, the entity coded as BMRI shares stated that most credit portfolios are variable rates, which means they will follow the benchmark interest rate.

"Of course this will help in terms of yield of loan," he said.

For information, until the close of the third quarter of 2022, BMRI succeeded in scoring a net profit of IDR 30.7 trillion on a consolidated basis or an increase of 59.4 percent year on year (yoy).

This moncer score was supported by credit distribution which reached Rp1,167.51 trillion or grew 14.2 percent compared to the same period last year.
