JAKARTA - PT Bank CIMB Niaga Tbk (CIMB Niaga) together with the Berdaya Bareng Foundation launched a sustainable economic empowerment program for 200 Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) in Eastern Indonesia which focused on women and colleagues with disabilities.

This program targets MSME actors in various cities in Makassar, Toraja, Manado, Balikpapan, and Samarinda.

Director of Compliance, Corporate Affairs and Legal CIMB Niaga Fransiska Oei stated that this program is part of the implementation of the CIMB Niaga Sustainability, especially the CSR pillar in the field of economic empowerment.

"Among the electoral criteria, namely having commitment and integrity and successfully increasing revenue by at least 10 percent and adding consumers to a minimum of 5 percent after being given assistance," said Fransisca.

At the end of the program, it is hoped that MSME players who receive coaching can increase their income by at least 30 percent, increase consumers by 15 percent, and have a clear business road map for the next 1 year.

"We hope that our efforts in facilitating business consultations, business assistance, and assisting capital for MSME players in Eastern Indonesia can help the national economic recovery. In addition, it also contributes to supporting the Ministry of Cooperatives and SMEs program, namely increasing the target of the entrepreneurship ratio to 3.95 perseb in 2024," concluded Fransiska.
