Situasi Masih Uncertain, Sri Mulyani Tegaskan Tak Berencana Perubah Policy Pajak

JAKARTA Minister of Finance (Menkeu) Sri Mulyani emphasized that the government will not change tax policies significantly in the near future. According to him, this strategy was taken to reduce continued uncertainty.

"We may not change many tax policies and others in very uncertain situations and will continue to observe from our economic recovery," he said during a press conference on our State Budget, quoted on Monday, October 24.

In addition, the Minister of Finance is trying not to interfere with the momentum of national economic recovery which has been running quite well until now.

"So for the threshold of all kinds, it has not been discussed and we don't think about it at this time. So maybe we will tend to take a stand-off from the economy, which is currently in good and positive momentum," he said.

This choice is reflected in the performance of state finances which still posted an encouraging trend until the close of the third quarter of 2022.

"The state budget is also in a positive position, but we will continue to maintain vigilance from the global environment which is still uncertain," said the Minister of Finance.

As previously reported by VOI, the State Budget (APBN) until September 2022 is still continuing its surplus achievement of IDR 60.9 trillion.

The book continued its record since the beginning of the year with a January surplus of IDR 28.9 trillion, February a surplus of IDR 19.7 trillion, March a surplus of IDR 10.3 trillion, April a surplus of IDR 103.1 trillion.

Then, in May a surplus of IDR 132.2 trillion, in June a surplus of IDR 73.6 trillion, in July a surplus of IDR 106.1 trillion, and a surplus of IDR 107.4 trillion.

Meanwhile, tax revenues until last month collected IDR 1,542.6 trillion from the target set at IDR 1,784 trillion in all this year.
