PT Transjakarta will provide transportation services to be used by Jakarta-Bandung high-speed train passengers at Halim Station, East Jakarta, when they are operational.

This was stated in the signing of a memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between PT Tansjakarta and PT Kereta Cepat Indonesia China (KCIC) regarding the expansion of intermodal integration services.

"This collaboration is the implementation of the integration of public transportation in Jakarta between Transjakarta and KCIC," said Head of the Transjakarta Corporate Secretary Division, Anang Rizakni Noor in his statement, Saturday, October 22.

"Transjakarta will provide the need for public transportation services in the Jabodetabek area to support the flow of KCIC passengers mobilization from and to Halim stations as well as jointly agreed supporting businesses," he added.

Anang explained that the memorandum of understanding of Transjakarta and KCIC which was valid for one year became the basis for facilitating communication, negotiations, and conducting necessary studies and providing information on cooperation plans.

In optimizing the integration of public transportation, Anang continued, Transjakarta will also coordinate for the provision of access and facilities for the smooth operation of the fleet.

According to him, the integration of intermodal services will affect people's preferences to choose public transportation as the main mode of travel transportation.

"People can travel freely in the combination of public transportation modes. As a result, traffic congestion can be suppressed. Economic growth increases," said Anang.
