JAKARTA - PT Konimex as the manufacturer of the Termorex sirop will announce that it will stop all production activities at its Termorex.

Chief Executive Officer of PT Konimex Rachmadi Joesoef in his statement said this action was taken in accordance with the Decree of the Food and Drug Supervisory Agency of the Republic of Indonesia (BPOM RI) Number: R-PW.01.12.35.352.10.22.1698, concerning: Termination of Drug Production, Distribution and Revocation (recall), dated October 17, 2022 which we received on October 20, 2022.
"As a form of compliance with PT Konimex, we are currently preparing steps to stop production, distribution and recall of 60ml Termorex Sirup products with batch numbers: AUG22A06, according to a circular from BPOM," he said in an official statement received by VOI, Friday, October 21.
Rachmadi added, after withdrawing the Konimex product, his party will also coordinate with BPOM RI and related parties to ensure that all Konimex products in the preparation of displays have gone through the production process according to Good Manufacturing Practices (CPOB) and are safe for consumption as recommended.
"PT Konimex also always adheres to all policies and rules set by the authorities, to ensure that all lines of our products are safe for the public to consume," he continued.
Previously, BPOM announced that five sirop medicinal products in Indonesia containing Ethilen Glikol (EG) contamination exceeded the safe threshold.
Reporting from the official BPOM website, www.pom.go.id, one of the five products is Termorex Sirup ( fever medicine), produced by PT Konnimex with distribution license number DBL7813003537A1, box packaging, plastic bottle @60 ml.
