JAKARTA State-Owned Enterprises (BUMN) of the National Housing Development General Company (Perum Perumnas), are confirmed to have been mandated by the government to work on the residential sector in the State Capital (IKN) of the Archipelago.

This was confirmed by the Marketing Director of Perumnas Tambok Setyawati when met in Jakarta in the middle of this week.

According to him, his party is now waiting for an official mandate from the Ministry of Public Works and Public Housing (PUPR) which is a state institution in infrastructure development.

"There is (a policy of building a house in IKN)," he told VOI quoted Thursday, October 20.

Even so, Tambok was not willing to elaborate on the allocation of house construction obtained by Perumnas.

"It has not yet been decided (will build how many units) and is still being discussed by the Ministry of PUPR," he said.

Previously, PUPR Minister Basuki Hadimuljono had stated that the signing of the auction for the IKN infrastructure project was carried out at the end of August 2022 and after that, physical development construction would begin immediately.

"Contract signature (at the end of August). After that, the construction immediately started," he said some time ago.

Meanwhile, Deputy Minister of Finance (Wamenkeu) Suahasil Nazara revealed that the government had provided an IKN development budget for the 2023 period of IDR 27.6 trillion.

"In the preparation of spending in 2023, in accordance with the direction of the President, it must be sharpened, such as paying attention to the budget for IKN Nusantara," he said.

Meanwhile, the budget value provided for the construction of the capital city of Nusantara this year is not less than IDR 5.4 trillion.
