Bank Muamalat Implements Cooperation With Perumnas For Financing Mortgages Of IDR 500 Billion

JAKARTA - PT Bank Muamalat Indonesia Tbk. officially binding on cooperation with the National Housing Development Public Company (Perumnas) related to the distribution of housing finance products (KPR) entitled KPR Hijrah.

Director of Business and Retail at Bank Muamalat Purnomo Soetadi said he was optimistic that this synergy could boost the company's performance considering the economy when it was getting better.

"We are sure that in the second semester the trend of mortgage volume will continue to increase," he said when met in Jakarta on Wednesday, October 19.

According to Purnomo, cooperation with Perumnas will pave the way to continue financing expansion in the property sector.

"We hope that the collaboration with Perumnas will significantly support the net growth target of IDR 1 trillion for the KPR portfolio in the fourth quarter of 2022," he said.

Purnomo added, in the agreement signed today, the company is targeting financing up to hundreds of billions.

"Bank Muamalat is committed to financing R500 billion through a program with Perumnas," he said.

On the same occasion, the President Director of Perumnas Budi Saddewa Soediro stated that his party was trying to realize easy and affordable housing ownership.

"The Hijrah KPR from Bank Muamalat applies a sharia system. Through this strategy, we believe that it can continue to support convenience for consumers and customers," he said.

Saddewa explained that the Hijrah KPR with Bank Muamalat covered three projects, namely the Parung Panjang Parayasa Universe, the Bogor Dramaga Universe, and the Central and Driyorejo Universe.

"The total units we built from these three projects reached 5,707 units," he said.

Saddewa also said that this step is a form of contribution to supporting government programs to overcome housing needs that are still high.

"This can encourage the acceleration of the realization of community mortgages, both for subsidies and non-subsidized ones so as to help with housing backlog problems," he concluded.
