JAKARTA - PT PLN (Persero) and the PLN Workers Union (SP PLN) signed a Collective Work Agreement (PKB) in order to advance PLN and provide support for career development and employee welfare.

PLN President Director Darmawan Prasodjo said that in the agreement he emphasized that there would be no reduction in employee rights and welfare.

"With the new PKB, we will reiterate that the rights and welfare of employees of work assignments will not be reduced," explained Darmawan in his remarks in Jakarta, Wednesday, October 12.

Darmawan further added that the agreement is a form of the company in providing support for career development and employee welfare. Through this agreement, employees can develop employee competence in various PLN business lines.

Meanwhile, PLN General Chairperson of the Trade Union (SP) Muhammad Abrar Ali said this moment had been awaited by trade unions for a long time.

According to him, the management agreement with the union can align the vision and mission in achieving PLN's goals in the future and become a new breakthrough within the company, considering that the union has been waiting for this to happen for quite a while.

"We often have different opinions between SP and management. However, when we discussed the vision and mission of our company going forward, we looked for common points during dialogue. We can find this, what we agree on is that PLN is Indonesia's heart, especially in managing electricity. We collaborate together to be able to make the best contribution to the nation and state," he explained.
