JAKARTA - The Indonesian Regional Representative Council (DPD) issued 9 recommendations for the Bank Indonesia Liquidity Assistance (BLBI) case at the 4th Plenary Session of the Republic of Indonesia Session I Session Year 2022-2023. The sixth recommendation is that the DPD RI leadership has been asked by the BLBI Special Committee to form a New Special Committee in order to follow up on the work of the BLBI DPD RI Special Committee which has not been completed and ends on October 8, 2022. "And seventhly, the new Special Committee needs to coordinate with the role of Law Enforcement Officials (APH) such as the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK), the Indonesian Attorney General's Office, the Indonesian Police, and others to follow up on the completion of the BLBI case," he explained. The eight recommendations, said Lanyalla, were made by the BLBI DPD Special Committee based on the results of discussions and reviews conducted by the BLBI DPD RI Special Committee through the Plenary Meeting, Working Meeting, Hearing Meeting, General Hearing Meeting and Focus Group Discussion (FGD) as well as Consulting Meetings with the BPK RI which have been going on since the working period of the Special Committee as the results of the 6th Plenary Session of the Second Session of the 2021-2022 Session Year dated January 11, 2022. Finally, the Chairman of DPD AA Lanyalla Mahmud Mattalitti emphasized that the recommendation of the DPD RI BLBI Special Committee on Completion of BLBI Cases was prepared as a form of implementing the DPD RI Supervision Function on State Financial Accountability. "Hopefully, with the recommendation of the DPD RI, the Government's completion of the BLBI case through the Task Force for Handling State Claims to BLBI can be carried out in an accountable and professional manner," he concluded.
