PTPN X Giling 4.09 Million Ton Tebu In 9 Sugar Factory

JAKARTA - PT Perkebunan Nusantara (PTPN) X Ecstas 4.09 million tons of sugar cane on nine of its sugar factories when entering its 126th mill day this season. Director of PTPN X Tuhu Bangun in a written statement in Surabaya, Friday, October 7, said, based on the daily production report as of October 3, 2022, the total sugar production amount is 280,824 tons with a rendement projected to be above seven percent. "This 2022 performance is much better when compared to last year's performance," he said, quoted from Antara. This, he continued, was the result of a close evaluation and monitoring as well as the implementation and improvement of the game strategy both on the farm and off farm. According to him, the number of sugar cane is ground which is above 4 million tons, breaking the record for the number of sugar cane being ground by PTPN X in the last four years. In addition, he said, this year's ground productivity rate which reached 83 tons/hectares, is also the highest compared to the last four years. When compared to the same milling day last year, he continued, the number of sugar cane milled increased by 26 percent. Meanwhile, the number of sugar production also increased by 20 percent. This increase is expected to have an impact on PTPN X's overall operational and financial performance, thereby increasing PTPN X's contribution to national sugar production. This, he said, was PTPN X's commitment to supporting national sugar self-sufficiency. In the remaining 30 days of the milling season, he continued, PTPN X focused on maintaining the management of supply for Baku Tebu Materials (BBT) into sugar factories by continuing to coordinate and synergize with farmers. In addition, he said, monitoring was also carried out to suppress stop hours and loss rates. This year's stop rate is 9.1 percent which is lower than in 2021 which reached 19.21 percent. "In the remaining day of the mill, we are optimistic that we will achieve the target that has been set. Giling is estimated to reach early November 2022. We will optimize all efforts so that PTPN X is able to tame sugar cane well above the RKAP 2022 4.2 million tons and produce more than 340,000 tons of sugar," said Tuhu.
