The operation of the Supply and Price Stabilization Market (KPSH) for medium rice at the Cipinang Rice Main Market witnessed by the Head of the National Food Agency, Arief Prasetyo Adi, Deputy Minister of Agriculture, Tan Harvick Hasnul, Minister of Trade, Zulkifli Hasan, Minister of Transportation Budi Karya, President Director of Perum BULOG, Budi Waseso, who also witnessed the launch of the Medium Rice Market Operation. "Seeing the development of rice prices at the Cipinang Rice Main Market recently, especially medium rice which tends to exceed the HET set by the Government, based on our observations at PIBC, the price of medium rice on September 30, 2022 is Rp. 9,834 per kg when compared to medium rice prices in accordance with the provisions of the Highest Retail Price (HET) for medium rice, which is Rp. 9,450 per kg," said President Director of PT Food Station Tjipinang Jaya Pamrihadi Wiraryo. For this reason, his party cooperates with traders at the Cipinang Rice Main Market to provide KPSH market operating rice at a price of Rp. 8,900 per kg. According to him, the KPSH Market Operation is carried out massively and in a structured manner, traders and agents collaborate to ensure that the price is in accordance with the maximum set, so that at the level of derivative market consumers, prices are far below the HET price. "We also hope that no trader or agent will take advantage of the high price to get excess profits, because it is a pity for the people who have felt the weight of the burden of rising prices on other products as a result of the increase in fuel prices," he explained. Pamrihadi explained, this is the momentum to stabilize the price of premium rice in the market. The Food Station cooperates with Bulog for the initial stage to provide 300 tons of KPSH market operations which are distributed to traders at the Cipinang Rice Main Market, with a selling price of 8,900 per kg under HET. The plan is for medium rice market operations to continue until February 2023. "We will distribute as much as 70,000 tons to control the price of medium rice," he concluded.
