Serpong-Balaraja Toll Road Starting To Pay October 4, Here Are The Feature Details

JAKARTA - The management of the Sepong-Balaraja (Serraja) toll road will start charging cars that pass starting on October 4, 2022 at 00.00 WIB. This is in accordance with the Decree of the Minister of Public Works and Public Housing (Kepmen PUPR) Number 1116/KPTS/M/2022. The Serpong-Balaraja section 1A toll road section previously operated functionally on August 10-21 2022 without the imposition of tariffs. The Serbaraja toll road has also been inaugurated by the President of the Republic of Indonesia Joko Widodo on September 20, 2022 and is back in operation without tariffs until October 3, 2022 as a period of socialization. The toll road is a connectivity infrastructure project developed by Sinar Mas Land through PT Bumi Serpong Damai Tbk (BSDE) as the main shareholder of PT Trans Bumi Serbaraja. The Serbaraja Toll Road section 1A connects the end of the existing toll road (Ulujami-Pondok Aren-Serpong) to the CBD BSD City intersection and is directly connected to the TOD Intermodal BSD City area. President Director of PT Trans Bumi Serbaraja Siswanto Adisaputro said that for users of Group I vehicles, tariffs of Rp. 5,500, Group II & III are subject to tariffs of Rp. 8,500. Then for Group IV & V, a tariff of Rp. 11,000 is charged. "With the operation of the 1A section 1A toll road along the 4 km section, it is hoped that it can unravel the congestion that occurs in the South Tangerang City and Tangerang Regency,” he said in an official statement, quoted Monday, October 3. The construction of the Serbaraja Toll Road section 1A is the first part to be completed and has officially operated. Currently, PT Trans Bumi Serbaraja is also continuing the construction of the toll road section for section 1B. Later the Serbaraja toll road will have a total length of about 40 km which is divided into three stages, namely section I Serpong-Legok (9.8 km), section II Legok-West Pasir (11.5 km), and section III Pasir Barat-Balaraja (18.6 km). The Serpong-Balaraja Toll Road will ease the burden on vehicles that have been borne by a number of roads in the Greater Tangerang area, Banten. This toll road will be connected to the Jakarta-Serpong toll road, Jakarta-Merak toll road, JORR and various toll roads on the island of Java.
