PLN's President Director Explain The Reasons For Not Raising Non-Subsidial Electric Tariffs

JAKARTA - In accordance with the government's decision through the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources (ESDM), PT PLN (Persero) ensures that the electricity tariff in October - December 2022 remains the same as the electricity tariff in July - September 2022.

PLN President Director Darmawan Prasodjo explained that the decision not to increase the electricity tariff was in order to maintain people's purchasing power, competitiveness in the industrial and business sectors, control inflation, and strengthen national economic stability. PLN is committed to continuing to maintain reliable electricity supply to support the wheels of the community's economy.

We realize that the presence of electricity is very important for the movement of the economy. Therefore, PLN is ready to keep electricity supply reliable and provide the best service for the community," said Darmawan in his statement, Saturday, October 1.

The government is committed to protecting the public while continuing to provide electricity subsidies to household customers 450-900 VA. Likewise, non-subsidized customers did not experience an increase in tariffs during this period and still received compensation.

Non-subsidized electricity tariff adjustments are evaluated every three months based on the average changes in Rupiah exchange rates to US dollars, Indonesian crude oil prices (ICP), inflation and coal benchmark prices.

The amount of electricity tariff for October 2022 is as follows:- Household Customer 450 VA Subsidized Rp415/kWh.- Household 900 VA Subsidized Customers amounting to Rp605/kWh.- Household Customer 900 VA RTM (Able Household) amounting to Rp1,352/kWh. - Household Customer Day 1,300-2,200 VA amounting to Rp1,444.70/kWh. - Household Customer 3,500 and above Rp1,699.53/kWh.
