Bank Muamalat Financing The Electric Bus Project Of PT INKA Senilai Rp150 Miliar

JAKARTA - PT Bank Muamalat Indonesia Tbk distributed financing to PT Industri Kereta Api or PT INKA (Persero) worth Rp150 billion. This financing facility will be used by PT INKA for the electric bus procurement project as a means of transportation at the G20 Summit in Bali in October-November 2022. The signing ceremony for the distribution of financing was held on Friday, September 30, 2022 at Muamalat Tower, Jakarta. This event was attended by Bank Muamalat President Director Achmad K. Permana accompanied by Bank Muamalat Chief Wholesale Banking Officer Irvan Y. Noor. Meanwhile, PT INKA was represented by Andy Budiman as Director of Finance, HR and Risk Management. Permana said that after the entry of new investors, namely the Hajj Financial Management Agency (BPKH) earlier this year, his party did start boosting the distribution of financing. This collaboration with PT INKA is expected to increase the company's financing portfolio, especially in the corporate segment. “ The distribution of financing this time for us is very strategic. Not only can we cooperate with experienced manufacturing SOEs such as PT INKA, but the project being financed is also related to an important agenda in the country, namely the G20. We hope that the provision of this financing facility will be the door for the opening of other business cooperation between Bank Muamalat and PT INKA in the future,” he said in a written statement, Saturday, October 1. This financing uses the musyarakah contract with a maximum tenor of 4 years. In addition to being used to support the implementation of the G20, the financing for the procurement of electric buses is also aimed at projects to provide public transportation for the Surabaya and Bandung regions as a result of the collaboration between PT INKA and Perum DAMRI through the Buy The Service (BTS) scheme. For information, as of June 30, 2022, Bank Muamalat's total bankwide financing was recorded at Rp. 18.9 trillion.
