JAKARTA - PT PLN (Persero) is accelerating the construction of the 150 kilo Volt Volt (kV) High Voltage Air Line (SUTT) for the Bun-Sukaraka Base.
The existence of this infrastructure will realize the interconnection of electricity throughout Kalimantan.
General Manager of PLN's West Kalimantan Development Main Unit (UIP KLB), Reisal Rimtaki Hasoloan, said that currently the progress of the 150 kV SUTT construction in Bun-Sumakakalan Base has reached 80 percent.
Most of them are already in the stringing stage or the recall of interpower conductor cables.
"The SUTT project, which has been built up to 80 percent, has recorded that it has absorbed a domestic component level (TKDN) of 74 percent," said Reisal in his statement, Friday, September 30.
Reisal revealed that the project, which was worked on by PLN UIP KLB, cost Rp268 billion in investment, this SUTT project will stretch for 178 kilometers of sirkit (kms).
With a total tower of 255 towers, this transmission route was built by crossing 12 villages, 5 sub-districts, and 2 districts, namely Sukamara Regency and West Kotawaringin Regency.
"This project is an important part of realizing the interconnection of the Equatoriality System in West Kalimantan with the East Kalimantan electricity system that has been connected first," said Reisal.
According to Reisal, the electricity system in East Kalimantan and North Kalimantan has been connected to the electricity system in South Kalimantan and Central Kalimantan.
If the electricity system in West Kalimantan has been connected to the East Kalimantan electricity system, then the power evacuation from all power centers in Kalimantan will be very possible.
"When it is connected later, the reliability of electricity supply for the community will increase and it is also hoped that it will also increase the electrification ratio in Kalimantan," concluded Reisal.
Previously, PLN UIP KLB had successfully operated the 150 kV Sudan Main Substation with a capacity of 30 Mega Volt Ampere (MVA) located in Sudan Village, Cempaga Hulu District, East Kotawaringin Regency, Central Kalimantan Province, which aims to support the operations of one of the mining industries in Central Kalimantan.
