Wings Opening Voice About Korean Sedap Korean Spice Chicken Drawed By Hong Kong Food Security Authority

JAKARTA - Hong Kong food security authority, Center for Food Safety (CFS) ordered the withdrawal of ready-to-eat instant noodles brand Mi Sedap Korean Spice Chicken Flavor Fried Noodle, from Indonesia, weighing 435 grams, from the Golden Long Fppd Trading Ltd single agent, 25KnSHOP (HK) Limited.

This withdrawal is related to the discovery of pesticide content of oxide ethilen.

In response to this, Wings, the Mie Sedap manufacturer company, responded.

In a statement, Head of Corporate Communications & CSR WINGS Group Indonesia, Sheila Kansil stated that Mie Sedap is safe for consumption and has met international food standards.

With regard to the circulating publications regarding Mie Sedap products, we hereby want to convey that:

1. Mie Sedap is produced by complying with regulations from related agencies to meet applicable food safety standards, including: a. Permit of the Food & Drug Supervisory Agency of the Republic of Indonesia. Halal Certificate (MUI)c. ISO 22000 Certification regarding International Standards for Food Security Management. ISO 9001 certification regarding International Standards of Quality Management Systems

2. Mie Sedap products have also been enjoyed by consumers in more than 30 countries over the past dozen years and have met the mandatory export standards, including content, packaging, and product labeling.

"Efforts to comply with applicable regulations are Mie Sedap's commitment as part of the WINGS Group of Indonesia which has been present for more than 70 years, to provide quality products that can be enjoyed by the Indonesian people because we believe that the best things in life should be accessible for all," Sheila said in a statement received by VOI, Thursday, September 29.
