JAKARTA - Bandung Institute of Technology (ITB) mechanical expert Iman Kartolaksono Reksowardojo assessed that the change in color to Pertalite that the community has met recently did not affect the quality of the subsidized fuel at all. This, he continued, includes allegations that the quality of Pertalite is now decreasing and more wasteful, which is a subjective assessment. "There is no effect on the color (on the quality of fuel). If at this time many people think that Pertalite is more wasteful, then the assessment is also subjective," he said as quoted by Antara, Tuesday, September 27. Including if it is associated with changing the color of Pertalite, he added, it cannot be used as a size at all, because there must be proof in a laboratory. "Unable to assess the quality of fuel only from daily habits, because the assessment is not controlled," he said. The testing must be carried out on an apple to apple basis, namely between the old Pertalite (before the current subsidized fuel rises) and Pertalite. Likewise, conditions, routes, testing hours, including types of vehicles carried out to test, must also be the same. He said, if there is only one thing that is different, it will certainly affect testing. For example, the route is different, even if it is carried out by the same vehicle, of course it will produce different results, the price of the burning price is different. "Therefore, testing must be apple to apple. In essence, there must be testing. Don't just subjectivity," said Iman. Previously, Pertamina guaranteed the specifications or quality of the RON 90 fuel product which was sold at gas stations in accordance with the standards and quality contained in the Decree of the Director General of Oil and Gas Number 0486.K/10/DJM.S/2017 concerning Standards and Quality (Specification) for Fuel Oil Type 90 which is marketed domestically. In addition, Pertamina also always ensures that quality control runs for each product and distributes quality fuel products in accordance with the specified specifications.
