Pak Anies, Said Mrs. Sri Mulyani, DKI Budget Rp10.9 Trillion Ngendon At Bank: Highest Throughout Indonesia

JAKARTA - Minister of Finance (Menkeu) Sri Mulyani highlighted that local government (Pemda) deposits in banks are still quite high even though they have entered the middle of the third quarter of 2022.

One of the concerns is the nominal balance of the DKI Jakarta provincial government (pemprov) with the largest records compared to other provincial governments in Indonesia.

"Based on the province, as of August 2022 the highest nominal balance is in DKI Jakarta Province of Rp. 10.94 trillion," he said during a press conference on our State Budget on Monday, September 26.

According to the Minister of Finance, the conditions in the area led by Governor Anies Baswedan reflect the trend of local government deposits in banks which in general also increased, from the previous Rp178.9 trillion in August 2021 to Rp203.4 trillion in August 2022.

"For this reason, we continue to encourage regions to be able to complete their APBD in an accountable manner and of course on target so that the economy can increase and grow," said Minister of Finance Sri Mulyani.

Meanwhile, the lowest deposits from the provincial government are in the Riau Islands with a record value of Rp345.26 billion.

On this occasion, the state treasurer also said that the budget that had been transferred centrally to the regions had reached Rp478.9 trillion as of August 2022.

This figure increased by 1.3 percent on an annual basis (year on year/yoy) from the position in August 2021 which was Rp472.9 trillion.
