Sambangi Rote, Deputy Minister Of Finance "Take" IDR 258 Billions Of State Money For Electricity 97 NTT Remote Villages

JAKARTA - Deputy Minister of Finance (Wamenkeu) Suahasil Nazara is known to be present directly to Rote Ndao Regency, East Nusa Tenggara to monitor the participation of state capital to PT PLN in the amount of Rp258 billion.

According to him, the injection of funds will be used to deliver electricity in 97 remote villages in NTT with an estimated 18,650 beneficiary families.

In his statement, the Deputy Minister of Finance said that this is proof of the presence of the state in providing energy sources for people in the southernmost region of Indonesia.

"The PMN given is part of the assignment to PLN to build electricity infrastructure so that it can increase the electrification ratio and achievement of fair energy for all Indonesian people," he said in a press statement quoted on Sunday, September 25.

The Deputy Minister of Finance hopes that this initiative can encourage the community to carry out productive activities so as to support the local economy and also nationally.

This is a project that is capitalized by the state, so that PLN builds village electricity lines. Everything is done so that the state is present to the community," he said.

Through the injection of funds, PLN will build 2,186 kilometers (kms) of medium voltage networks (JTM), 2,680 kms of low voltage networks, and 29,675 kVA substations as well as the construction of 24 solar power plants (PLTS).

The emergence of electricity infrastructure development also has an impact on increasing the electrification ratio in NTT. Data noted that electrification ratio increased from 59.85 percent in 2017 to 92.33 percent until June 2022.

"PLN is a tool from the state, so that the state can attend, the state can reach it, the state's hand can be felt by all its residents. Therefore, PLN has the task of getting the task of the state to electrify all over Indonesia. Electricity throughout Indonesia must be complete, meaning making electricity, making lanes, distribution, power poles, to enter people's homes. I am happy that there was a significant increase in the electrification ratio," concluded Deputy Minister of Finance Suahasil.
