Participating In The Direction Of The Minister Of SOEs, BKI Will Procure Electric Vehicles

JAKARTA - State-Owned Enterprises (BUMN) in the field of ship classification and registration services, as well as consulting services, PT Biro Statistik Indonesia (Persero) or BKI will procure electric vehicles.

This is in accordance with the direction of the Minister of SOEs, Erick Thohir, who wants SOE directors and employees to use motorbikes and electric cars as official vehicles.

President Director of PT BKI (Persero), Rudiyanto, said that by using Electric Vehicle (EV) within BUMN, the company contributed to creating net zero emissions.

"This is in line with the spirit of decarbonization which is currently the focus of BKI's attention," he said in an official statement, Monday, September 19.

For this reason, continued Rudiyanto, BKI as the holding company for the Survey Services BUMN or IDSurvey which is currently focusing on realizing the government's commitment to target zero emissions and EBT fully supports the direction of the Minister of SOEs.

Previously, he said, PT BKI (Persero) together with other IDSurvey members had also run a series of decarbonization events within BUMN.

"BKI also hopes that the use of EVs in SOEs can be a good example in people who are currently adapting to the price of new fuel because the world oil prices are towering," said Rudiyanto.

BKI, continued Rudiyanto, is committed to transforming using electric vehicles as quickly as possible and will enforce an electric vehicle purchase policy, according to the company's operational needs.

Rudiyango emphasized that this policy was of course adjusted to the allocation of costs in accordance with the allocation of mobilization needs.

"We will try to be as optimistic as possible in the procurement of electric vehicles for operations within the BKI and IDSurvey," he said.

For your information, the Ministry of SOEs has recently been aggressively carrying out the Zero Emission target achievement in 2060 and the transition to sustainable energy through the determination of the energy mix target of new and renewable energy (EBT) of 23 percent by 2025 according to government policy.

SOE Minister Erick Thohir revealed that one of the supporting activities of the target was the use of Electric Vehicles/Electric Vehicles (EVs) in SOEs.

For this reason, in the circular letter Number S-565/MBU/09/2022 addressed to the directors last Monday, Erick said, BUMN is one of the pillars of the national economy that has a role and responsibility in implementing government commitments.
