JAKARTA - PT PLN (Persero) East Java Distribution Main Unit supplyed electricity supply at the Gelora Bung Tomo Stadium (GBT) Surabaya City, to support the U20 AFC Cup qualifiers which will be held on September 14-18, 2022. General Manager of PLN UID East Java, Lasiran in Surabaya, Thursday, September 15, said that his party had alerted personnel to maintain the reliability of electricity supply in GBT. With the temporary lighting service of 630 kVA in GBT, his party ensured that the event was safe without any problems. "We have prepared electricity supply for GBT Stadium with two supplies (especially and reserves) with the ACO (Automatic Change Over) system to ensure electricity at reliable venues, no dip, no explanations," Lasiran said, as reported by Antara. According to him, PLN has prepared 18 personnel consisting of employees and technical service officers equipped with 2 units of UPS car with 250 kVA power, 1 UGB unit, 1 UKB unit, and 2 units of mobile generator power of 400 kVA. PLN's readiness to oversee the reliability of electricity supply is demonstrated by the Automatically Change Over simulation or changes from the main supply to the supply of reserves which only takes 0.5 seconds at the AFC U20 event. "This is not the first time PLN has overseen the supply of national and international scale electricity events. One of them is the international surfing event, WSL in Banyuwangi who has won the attention and positive appreciation of various parties. We are ready to oversee this event until it is over and ensure its reliability," said Lasiran. Meanwhile, Head of the East Java Province Youth and Sports Service, Pulung chajisar, appreciated the role and contribution of PLN in securing electricity supply during the implementation of the U20 AFC qualification. "Currently it has been running on the first day, thank God it went smoothly without any problems, we hope that further every sporting event or activity that brings the big name East Java will continue to be relied on," said Pulung.
