JAKARTA - The Provincial Government of DKI Jakarta has disbursed fuel subsidies (BBM) of IDR 4.8 billion for ship transportation to the Thousand Islands.

"Ships to the Thousand Islands we subsidize IDR 4.8 billion", said Deputy Governor of DKI, Ahmad Riza Patria, when attending the "Cash Free Day" in Thamrin 10, quoted by Antara, Sunday, September 11.

The ship transportation subsidy assistance was given in conjunction with a fuel subsidy of IDR 62.5 billion to TransJakarta.

He hopes that the fuel subsidy will help the community in the midst of rising subsidized fuel prices. With this subsidy, the tariff for TransJakarta public transportation and ship transportation to the Thousand Islands will not increase.

"So God willing, we will help subsidize transportation to help the community in the midst of rising fuel prices", he said.

However, urban public transportation (angkot) which has not been integrated with JakLingko does not receive subsidies so public transport fares adjust to fuel prices.

Even so, his party is still discussing the option of adding angkot to get subsidies.

Based on data from the Head of the DKI Jakarta Land Transport Organization (Organda), Shafruhan Sinungan, the number of microbus public transportation that has not been integrated has reached around 4,500 units, out of a total of about 6,600 units.

Meanwhile, the remaining 2,100 microbus units have been integrated with Jak Lingko under the name Mikrotrans.

The DKI Jakarta Transportation Service stated that the proposed increase in the tariff for regular public transportation is IDR 1,000 to IDR 6,000.

"For the regular tariff this morning, I have received the recommendation from DTKJ addressed to the Governor that there is a proposal for an increase of IDR 1,000", said Head of the DKI Transportation Agency, Syafrin Liputo when attending the inauguration of the Zero Rupiah Downpayment housing in Cilangkap, East Jakarta, Thursday (8/9). ).

The proposal for a tariff increase was submitted by the Jakarta City Transportation Council (DTKJ) to the Governor of DKI through the DKI Transportation Agency.

DTKJ consists of the Department of Transportation, transportation experts, elements of public transport operators, non-governmental organizations in the field of transportation, and elements of the Police.

"They have had discussions, plenary meetings and that is what was proposed and the decision will be determined by the governor's decision", said Syafrin.

Syafrin targets that this week the governor's decision regarding the increase in the tariff for regular public transportation will be signed by Governor Anies Baswedan.
