Ministry Of Energy And Mineral Resources Salurkan BPBL Ke 3,860 Household Di Sulawesi Selatan

JAKARTA - A total of 3,860 households in South Sulawesi will receive free electricity installations in 2022.

The Electricity New Installation Assistance Program (BPBL) is a synergy between the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources (ESDM) and the Indonesian House of Representatives as an effort to increase the electrification ratio.

"Rasio is important today's electrification to improve the economy of the community as well as human resources (HR). I hope there will be a positive correlation between electricity and the quality of human resources," said Member of Commission VII DPR RI Andi Yuliani Paris in a written statement, Friday, September 9.

Furthermore, Andi said, for 2023, it is planned that there will be as many as 83,000 beneficiaries of the BPBL Program.

"This program is for people who are underprivileged. If you feel capable, give it to those who are underprivileged," he said.

On the same occasion, the Director of Electricity Program Development of the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources, Wanhar, said that the national BPBL program is intended for poor households who have not yet had electricity as many as 80,000 households spread across 22 provinces in Indonesia.

"Moros Regency plans to install as many as 643 households in 2022, some of which are located in Mattirotasi Village, Maros Baru District, Maros Regency," he said.

In addition to Maros Regency, Wajo Regency in South Sulawesi is also planned to install a free electricity installation for 576 households.

"The people who receive the BPBL program will receive a house electrical installation in the form of 3 light points and 1 contact box, inspection and inspection of the Operational Like Certificate (SLO) installation, connection to PLN, and the first electric token," he concluded.

In this event, Regent Maros Chaidir Syam and General Manager of PLN South Sulawesi, Southeast Sulawesi and West Sulawesi (Sulselrabar) Main Units Andy Achminoerdin were also present.

Asrul, a workshop worker from Maros, expressed his gratitude because he received new electricity installs. Previously, he distributed it to his neighbors.

Asrul is one of the BPBL beneficiaries.

"Sometimes the electricity is not strong and goes out. With (installation) the electricity itself, it becomes independent," he said.

The Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources assigned PT PLN (Persero) to carry out BPBL procurement and installation activities for the 2022 Fiscal Year.

BPBL recipients are households registered in the Integrated Social Welfare Data (DTKS), domiciled in the Outermost, Leading, and Disadvantaged areas (3T), and/or eligible for BPBL based on the validation of village/lurah heads or level officials.
