Adian Napitupulu: The Increase In SBY Era Fuel Is More Expensive Than Jokowi

JAKARTA - Member of Commission VII DPR RI Adian Napitupulu said the increase in fuel oil (BBM) in the era of President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono was greater than the increase in fuel prices in the era of President Joko Widodo. He detailed that the total increase in Premium fuel prices in the SBY era was Rp4,690 while in the Jokowi era the total increase in Premium/Pertalite fuel types was Rp3,500. "So SBY increased fuel more expensive than Rp1,190 from Jokowi," said Adian in his official statement, Thursday, September 8. Adian continued, in the SBY era, the minimum wage in DKI Jakarta was Rp. 2.2 million in 2013. With fuel prices of Rp. 6,500 per liter, one month's wages can only be 338 liters per month. Meanwhile, in the Jokowi era, Pertalite fuel today is priced at Rp. 10,000 but the minimum wage has reached Rp. 4.6 million per month. "Thus, in the Jokowi era every month the wages of workers are worth 464 liters of fuel. So there is a difference in the ability to buy fuel between SBY and Jokowi by 126 liters," he continued. Adian also mentioned that the organized and massive'mafia' was still in the SBY era, namely Petral, whose embryo had existed since the beginning of the New Order, to be exact, 1969 and was operating from 1971. "In the era of Jokowi Petral disbanded in 2015 only 6 months after Jokowi was sworn in," added Adian. Meanwhile, the construction of toll roads as one of the important infrastructures in economic activity in the SBY era was only able to build 193 km of toll roads, while in the Jokowi era, the toll road that was built was almost 10 times from the SBY era, which was 1,900 km long. "If you want to calculate in more detail from toll roads, non-toll road, provincial roads, district roads to village roads along 304,490 KM, every second Jokowi builds no less than 1.5 meters of a wide road that is different," he said.
