A Number Of Companies Receiving Awards At The 2022 TOP GRC Awards

JAKARTA - A number of leading companies from various industrial sectors, received the TOP GRC Awards 2022 today, Tuesday 6 September. Taking place at the Raffles Hotel, Jakarta, the event was attended by the top management of the award-winning company, members of the TOP GRC Awards 2022 Jury, GRC practitioners, mass media, and others. The theme raised for the TOP GRC Awards 2022, is "GRC Empowerment in Digital Era and It's Support to the G20 Indonesia Presidency". The TOP GRC Awards 2022 will be held in TopBusiness Magazine in collaboration with several institutions. Namely, the GRC Indonesia Association, IRMAPA (Indonesia Risk Management Professional Association), ICOPI (Institute Compliance Professional Indonesia), PAGI (Indonesian Professional Governance Association), Nawacita Institute. Also, supported by several GCG consultants and compliance management. It's like Daya Prima Synergy, SGL Management, Dwika Consulting, Melani K. Harriman and Associate, Business Performance Solutions, as well as several staff from the Faculty of Economics and Business, Padjadjaran University (Bandung). In the 2022 Top GRC Awards, a number of leading companies received awards. Examples are: Indonesia Power, Generation of Java-Bali (PJB), Bank Seabank Indonesia, Bank Jatim, Hanwha Life Insurance, Pertamina Lubricants, Waskita Karya, Cogindo DayaBersama, Waskita Beton Precast, Pupuk Indonesia Utilities, Sukofindo, Sarana Multi Infrastruktur, Pos Indonesia, Indo Tambangraya Megah, SGMW Multifinance Indonesia, National Capital Madani, and Bank Danamon. There are also PTBA, Pupuk Sriwidjaja Palembang, Jasa Raharja, Asuransi Sinar Mas, Bank BTN, Bank CIMB Niaga, Wijaya Karya, MRT Jakarta, and others, who won prestigious awards at the TOP GRC Awards 2022. The Chairperson of the TOP GRC Awards 2022, M. Lutfi Handayani, conveyed a number of things. First, he said that the TOP GRC Awards are the highest GRC assessment and awarding activities in Indonesia, which are given to companies, which are considered to be performing well, and have implemented GRC effectively and integrated, in business management. GRC Learning In addition to assessment and awarding activities, the TOP GRC Awards also have many aspects of joint learning in the field of implementing GRC, especially for participating companies. The joint learning, among others, is, first, there is an added value session in the judging interview. In the added value session, the jury provides suggestions and input to participating companies to improve the implementation of GRC in the future. The second learning is the TOP GRC Awards webinar. In this webinar, fellow participants can share knowledge and experience with each other in terms of implementing GRC in their company. This webinar activity has been held on August 30, 2022, online/online. Then the third lesson is, GRC Summit, which presents GRC figures or international speakers, in order to get updates and trends of future GRC development and implementation. GRC Summit, is a series of joint activities with the TOP GCR Awards. "Seeing the great benefits that can be obtained for participating companies, we deeply regret that there are companies that do not participate in the TOP GRC Awards activities. Because through this activity, every participant has the opportunity to get feedback, input, and suggestions from the jury. There are many learning processes in it,” said Lutfi. For information, at the initial stage, there was an initial selection related to performance and GCG in general to 1,000 companies, consisting of listed companies on the Indonesia Stock Exchange, BUMN-BUMD, and the national and multi-national private sector. Of the 1,000 companies, 150 candidate/finalist companies were set to be invited to present and deepen the success of implementing the GRC in front of the jury, in online judging interview activities. Of all the finalists, 106 confirmed to follow the next stage of the assessment, and as many as 94 companies succeeded in participating in the complete assessment process, including following the judging interview. This number increased by 74 percent compared to last year. Then secondly, the TOP GRC Awards Jury which conducts assessment and deepening, most of which have obtained GRC certification from LSP GRK, so that it has the capability and credibility in conducting GRC assessments. And thirdly, the TOP GRC Awards Jury has also signed a statement on the jury's code of ethics, to maintain objectivity in conducting an assessment. The TOP GRC Awards are held annually since 2019. And in 2022, this is the fourth event. The assessment and deepening process for GRC's success, which is carried out through judging interviews, will take place from April 25 to August 14, 2022. Meanwhile, as a keynote speaker at the summit event, the General Chairperson of the National Committee for Governance Policy (KNKG), Prof. Mardiasmo, conveyed a number of things. Among other things, he said that in the last three decades, GRCs have emerged in response to major changes. "The GRC continues to expand its risk coverage," he said. Mardiasmo also said that now there are more and more new risks that companies find difficult to anticipate. "So, GRC is getting into new focus. That is the focus on monitoring and sustainability. At this point, we need to pay attention to ‘ gas and rem’ in business acceleration. And in this case GRC plays a very important role," said Mardiasmo.
