BATAM - The realization of micro, small and medium enterprise loans (MSMEs) subsidy for zero percent interest disbursed by Bank Riau Kepri (BRK) until July 31, 2022, reached Rp11.1 billion.

Furthermore, in Bintan Regency there were 30 MSME actors who took advantage of the program with a total loan of IDR 592 million.

"Meanwhile, in Anambas Regency there are nine MSME actors, with a total loan of Rp. 162 million," said Agusnawarman.

On this occasion, he said the Riau Islands Provincial Government had budgeted Rp1.5 billion in the 2022 APBD for the loan subsidy of MSME actors in collaboration with Bank Riau Riau Ripri.

Through this subsidy, MSME actors only need to pay the principal loan, while the interest is fully borne by the Riau Islands Provincial Government.

"Of the total Rp1.5 billion budgeted, the absorption has reached Rp655 million," he said.

The program initiated by Riau Islands Governor Ansar Ahmad in 2021 is expected to help MSME actors survive as well as develop their business in the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic.
