Trade Minister Zulhas Says Bapok Price In DIY Is Lowest Compared To Other Regions: In Yogyakarta, Rp 5,000 'Still' Sells, Can Buy A Pack Of Food

JAKARTA - Trade Minister Zulkifli Hasan said the price of basic needs in the Special Region of Yogyakarta is the lowest compared to other regions, especially outside Java.

Zulkifli Hasan after monitoring prices at Wates Market, Kulon Progo Regency, Yogyakarta Special Region, Thursday, August 11, said that the price of food such as red chilies at the Wates Market trader level was Rp. 50,000 per kilogram and curly red chilies at Rp. 60,000 per kilogram.

"So the price of chili has gone down considerably. Previously, curly chili was Rp. 130,000 per kilogram, now in Yogyakarta it is around Rp. 50,000 to Rp. 60,000 per kilogram. Big red chili is Rp. 50,000, and curly chili is Rp. 60,000 per kilogram," he said. , reported by Antara.

Furthermore, he said the price of chicken meat has also decreased. Currently, the price of meat in DIY ranges from Rp. 27,000 to Rp. 28,000 per kilogram. Then, the price of bulk cooking oil has dropped, from the range of Rp. 20,000 per kilogram to Rp. 16,000 per kilogram.

"The price of rice is stable. Onions have also dropped a lot, when I was a minister at Rp 80,000 per kilogram, now here it is Rp 34,000 to Rp 35,000 per kilogram," he said.

On this occasion, according to Zulkifli Hasan, the price of food that people need daily, such as tempeh, was observed for one bag reaching Rp. 5,000.

"Indeed, in Yogyakarta, the Rp 5,000 bill is still selling well, you can buy one pack of food earlier. So the prices in Yogyakarta, I think, are the lowest during my visit to the market," he said.

Meanwhile, the Kulon Progo Department of Trade and Industry (Disdagin) Sudarna said the prices of basic necessities in Kulon Progo had decreased.

Some time ago, chili prices experienced an upward trend, now they are starting to fall. There is only one type of chili whose price has been monitored to increase, namely green cayenne pepper.

In addition, the price of chicken meat is also observed to fall. Currently, the price of chicken meat is around Rp. 27,000 to Rp. 28,000 per kilogram.

"Prices of basic necessities in Kulon Progo have stabilized, moreover the price of bulk cooking oil has stabilized from Rp. 14,000 to Rp. 16,000 per liter," he said.
