JAKARTA - The development of Web3 technology in Indonesia is growing rapidly. This time, a social media-based NFT marketplace has emerged that is ready to attract the artist community in Indonesia through SALACA.

The main goal of SALACA is to become a gathering place for musicians, filmmakers and the artist community in Indonesia to trade their work and also socialize with fans and other people.

"SALACA is a social media-based NFT marketplace that stands on the web3 network. We also actually do a lot of things ourselves and we have also engaged several communities, especially communities, especially the artist and music communities. This is what we will embrace to become one ecosystem in SALACA own platform," explained Arief W Kurniawan, CEO of SALACA when talking with the VOD editor, Tuesday, August 9.

But not only musicians, SALACA users in general can also get money from their posts. You could say SALACA is the first social media platform in the world to become an NFT marketplace as well.

"So later on, the users of the SALACA platform will post everything in the form of photos, videos, and then all digital content will immediately become NFT. For example, the photo will immediately become NFT, then the video will immediately become NFT, like that. It will be a digital asset that they will store and later can be used for trading too. Then it can also be used in various ways, there will be Metaverse projects as well, "said Community Developer, Sheila Anastasia in a separate place.

SALACA itself offers social media with a hybrid concept. The combination of a community that is already familiar/familiar with Web3 technology and a community that is not yet familiar with Web3.

"The difference with other social media is that all parties who contribute to our platform get benefits. Starting from the content creators also get benefits, from the user side / followers also get benefits because we also issue programs such as watch to earn, online to earn, So really everyone who interacts on our social media platform will benefit," said Arief.

"The combination of a community that is already familiar/familiar with Web3 technology and a community that is not yet familiar with Web3. But we combine this on our one platform. As a starting point, SALACA has collaborated with ARENA. ARENA is an American Global Entertainment company that usually holds world music concerts.

The collaboration between the two will begin in October by holding a short film festival whose registration and work can be viewed on the SALACA platform.

"We are proud of SALACA itself, this ARENA will make a movie studio in Bali. Now the series of events until November is that we start from October we will start a short film festival and it will all be done on our platform first. Then the second, we there will also be music events in Bandung and Yogya. In Bandung, we plan to make a Rock Music festival with expectations of the audience or audience of around 20 thousand spectators. Then for those in Yogya we will also have a music program, and it's a combination of music concerts and technology. Well, that's where SALACA's contribution is on the technology side, "explained Arief.

This web platform is currently in a testing period which will be officially launched in mid-August 2022. This will be followed by the launch of an application that can be downloaded on the Google Playstore.
