Meet The Chair Of The Corruption Eradication Commission, The OJK Leaders Make Sure They Have An Internal Corruption Prevention System

JAKARTA - The Financial Services Authority (OJK) has ensured that it has an internal corruption prevention system. Especially through the signing of the Integrity Pact, filling out the State Administrators Assets Report (LHKPN) and the whistle blowing system.

This was conveyed by the Chairman of the OJK Board of Commissioners, Mahendra Siregar, during a meeting with the leadership of the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) at the KPK Building, Jakarta, Monday, August 8.

During the meeting, Mahendra conveyed a number of things, namely the importance of law enforcement aspects in regulating and supervising the financial services sector, including in facing global economic challenges, as well as the importance of OJK's synergy with the KPK in preventing and taking action against corruption for the improvement of the financial services sector.

"Aspects of good governance must be prioritized which includes all activities and compliance of all financial services sectors, anti-bribery systems and gratification control," he said, quoted on Tuesday, August 9.

According to him, strengthening coordination with the KPK is expected to further improve integrity, governance and trust in the implementation of all financial services in Indonesia. "OJK fully supports aspects of prevention and law enforcement in the context of anti-corruption carried out by the KPK," said Mahendra.

Meanwhile, KPK Chairman Firli Bahuri said the OJK's role was very significant in assisting the task of eradicating corruption through three programs run by the KPK, namely public education, prevention approaches and enforcement approaches.

"With the units in the KPK, it is hoped that the synergy of strengthening the cooperation between the OJK and the KPK can be further enhanced," said Firli.

According to him, by strengthening this synergy, OJK can build a healthy and safe financial services ecosystem through prevention and strong law enforcement.
