Hutama Karya Brings Good News, Their Loss Shrunk 45.67 Percent To Rp671.34 Billion

JAKARTA - PT Hutama Karya (Persero) recorded a net loss of Rp. 671.34 billion in the first semester of 2022. This profit shrank by 45.67 percent compared to the same period last year of Rp. 1.23 trillion.

In Hutama Karya's financial report, quoted Monday, August 1, the company's loss was due to a 1.90 percent growth in operating income to Rp 8.13 trillion from the first half of last year of Rp 7.98 trillion.

The company's largest revenue contribution came from toll road construction services which reached Rp 3.60 trillion, followed by revenues from toll road construction and operation services which reached Rp 2.1 trillion and Rp 1.60 trillion, respectively.

The company was also able to receive benefits from the sale of goods worth Rp598.30 billion, and property rentals of Rp115.42 billion. When revenue increases, the company seems able to cut a number of expenses, ranging from cost of goods, sales, general-administration.

The company's cost of goods was cut by 3.93 percent to Rp6.46 trillion. The six-month performance this year has reduced the company's basic loss per share from Rp46,736 to Rp13,781.

As of June 30, 2022, the company recorded total assets of Rp. 127.9 trillion, 3.73 percent lower than the end of 2021, which was Rp. 132.91 trillion.

The company's liabilities shrank 5.51 percent to Rp73.80 trillion, while the company's capital or equity was maintained at a nominal value of Rp54 trillion.
