JAKARTA - The Confederation of Indonesian Trade Unions (KSPI) supports the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government's plan to file an appeal against the decision of the Jakarta State Administrative Court (PTUN) for the cancellation of the Governor's Decree (Kepgub) No. 1517 of 2021 related to the Provincial Minimum Wage (UMP).

KSPI President Said Iqbal said his party supports the consistent attitude of DKI Jakarta Governor Anies Baswedan who wants DKI workers to get a living wage by filing an appeal against the results of the PTUN delegates regarding the UMP.

"KSPI would like to thank the Governor who is firm and has balanced empathy for workers and entrepreneurs," said Said Iqbal, in an official statement, Wednesday, July 27.

Moreover, Iqbal said that the DKI Jakarta UMP has been running for 7 months and there has not been a single letter of objection from employers.

"The relationship between workers and employers has been good so far in carrying out the existing UMP," he said.

For that, said Iqbal, KSPI and the Labor Party asked employers to continue to run the DKI UMP which was already running, which was Rp. 4.67 million.

"And it can't be taken down," he said.
