JAKARTA - The Indonesian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (Kadin) Depok City, West Java, encourages local Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) to advance to class by helping promote and marketing their products.

Head of the Depok City Chamber of Commerce, Miftah Sunandar, said that we felt compelled to encourage Depok MSMEs to advance to class. One of the efforts made was to make an MoU with the Indonesian Culinary Alliance Association (KUL-IND) Depok Ngariung as Kadin's guidance.

"The MoU with KUL-IND Depok is intended so that their members can access the facilities owned by Kadin and we also help market products from KUL-IND members," he said, quoted from Antara, Monday, July 25.

Miftah said that before signing the MoU with KUL-IND Depok, his party first visited the production site or workshop of Pawon Putri, Bojongsari District and to the Pucuk Ampel Site or the community in Grand Depok City (GDC).

"We also curated the products of KUL-IND Depok Ngariung members at the Depok Kadin Secretariat Office. And Alhamdulillah, after running smoothly, we signed an MoU with KUL-IND Depok Ngariung as an MSME fostered by Kadin Depok," said Miftah.

Miftah hopes that these efforts can advance MSMEs in Depok City, especially members of KUL-IND Depok Ngariung who have become the guidance of the Depok Chamber of Commerce and Industry.

"Of course, we from the Depok Chamber of Commerce hope that Depok MSMEs can advance to class, where their business can progress and develop. Thus, they will become pillars and economic strength in Depok City," he said.

Meanwhile, Korda KUL-IND Depok Ngariung, Tuti Purwanti said that her party was collaborating with Kadin Depok, to help promote and facilitate the progress of MSMEs who are members of KUL-IND Depok Ngariung.

Tuti explained that KUL-IND is a national organization. Meanwhile, in Depok, there is KUL-IND Depok Ngariung whose members are 300 MSMEs and the majority of MSMEs are in the culinary field.

"We also have an MoU with the Depok Chamber of Commerce so that products from KUL-IND members can enter hotels and department stores," explained Tuti.

According to Tuti, MSME actors are already proficient in making products. However, it is still lacking in terms of marketing and reach. Therefore, MSMEs who are members of the KUL-IND Depok Ngariung should collaborate with government agencies and the Depok Chamber of Commerce and Industry.

Tuti appreciated the Depok Chamber of Commerce for providing a special room for trainings. So you don't have to rent a place for training after the MoU with the Depok Chamber of Commerce.
