JAKARTA - PT PLN (Persero) is ready to fully support the sale of electric vehicles in Indonesia because it also affects the company's electricity sales.

PLN President Director Darmawan Prasodjo in Denpasar, Bali, Sunday, July 24, explained the forms of support provided, ranging from the provision of related infrastructure and facilities, marketing and operational assistance, to commitments to collaborate with various stakeholders.

"If there are ladies and gentlemen here who sell electric vehicles, we support all out. Why is it because electric cars must charge only one source from PLN. We sell electricity. So Once we charge it automatically, our merchandise sells," he said, at the launch of the electric vehicle digital service (EVDS), as reported by Antara, Monday, July 25.

Regarding the provision of infrastructure and related facilities, PLN has EVDS, which is a one-stop service that is connected to the PLN Mobile application.

"It is easier for the public to get electricity services, especially for electric vehicles. If you want to add power, install new ones, and even buy electric vehicles, you can go through EVDS which is integrated with PLN Mobile," said Darmawan.

Users of the PLN Mobile application, he added, can also access information and transaction systems at electric vehicle charging stations (SPKLU).

"In all EVDS systems, vendors for electric vehicle services are well integrated. We do this collaboration to make it easier for customers," he said.

Not only that, Darmawan said that his party is also ready to collaborate to form a swap battery station for two-wheeled vehicles.

Then regarding marketing, he said PLN could help connect electric vehicle sellers with PLN customers, whose number reached 83.6 million.

"If you need access to customers, we will facilitate it to our customers by name, by address, by location. I support it because this collaboration can accelerate cars, electric motorcycles can be enjoyed by the public," said the President Director of PLN.
