JAKARTA - Food Holding BUMN ID FOOD said it had distributed 62 million liters of cooking oil from Aceh to Papua during the first semester of 2022.

"We are committed to continuing to maintain the availability of cooking oil commodities through distribution throughout Indonesia," said ID FOOD President Director Frans Marganda Tambunan in a statement in Jakarta as quoted by Antara, Saturday.

Frans detailed that the largest distribution of cooking oil was in East Java with a figure of 13.16 million liters, North Sumatra 7.99 million liters, Lampung 6.62 million liters, West Java 6.52 million liters, and Jakarta 4.88 million liters. Meanwhile, Papua and West Papua are the regions with the smallest distribution figures, respectively 840 liters and 13,200 liters.

In addition to distributing cooking oil through traditional market traders, ID FOOD also distributes it through the Warung Pangan digital platform. The digital application resulting from the synergy with the Ministry of Trade as well as the digital application for the Bulk Cooking Oil Information System (Simirah) in synergy with the Ministry of Industry has been distributed as many as 2.57 million liters until July 23, 2022.

"According to daily data until July 23, 2022 specifically through the Warung Pangan platform, ID FOOD has distributed cooking oil to 19 provinces, 98 cities, 569 sub-districts, and 1,108 urban villages," said Frans.

ID FOOD is committed to being part of food distribution as food for the community and farmers.

Regarding the cooking oil commodity, ID FOOD through its holding member PT Indonesia Trade Company was appointed by the government through the Ministry of Trade as a retail logistics and service business actor (PUJLE) to distribute people's bulk cooking oil.
