The KPK Again Investigate Allegations Of Corruption In Land Procurement In The Anies Baswedan Era, This Is The Response Of The Deputy Governor Of DKI

JAKARTA - The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) has again investigated allegations of corruption related to land acquisition by Perumda Sarana Jaya in Pulo Gebang Village, Cakung, East Jakarta in 2018-2019. This is the second time the KPK has investigated the land mafia case.

Deputy Governor of DKI Jakarta, Ahmad Riza Patria, stated that he respects the KPK in investigating the case.

"The task of the legal apparatus, whether the KPK is the police, the prosecutor's office, please go ahead. We respect it, we respect it. Whether there is monitoring, checking, examination and even investigators, we respect it," Riza told reporters, Friday night, July 15.

In principle, Riza claims that he and the Governor of DKI Jakarta Anies Baswedan have warned his subordinates not to commit acts of corruption or bribery.

"For us, the most important thing is that in our ranks there are rules, there are all kinds of things so that everyone can keep away from corruption," he said.

Previously, Plt. KPK Spokesperson for Enforcement, Ali Fikri, said that currently the KPK is collecting evidence related to the alleged corruption case for land acquisition in Pulo Gebang sub-district, Cakung sub-district, East Jakarta by Perumda SJ (Sarana Jaya) in 2018-2019.

Ali said the alleged corruption in land acquisition in Pulo Gebang, East Jakarta by the BUMD Perumda Pembangunan Sarana Jaya caused state losses of up to hundreds of billions of rupiah.

"The number of state losses is still being calculated. For the time being, the number is hundreds of billions of rupiah," Acting KPK Spokesperson for Enforcement Affairs Ali Fikri told reporters, Thursday, July 14.

It has not been disclosed who the suspect in this case is. Ali said investigators from the anti-corruption commission were still looking for evidence related to the alleged corruption that occurred during the leadership of DKI Jakarta Governor Anies Baswedan.

Later, after the evidence held by the KPK is sufficient, the suspects will be announced. Ali asked the public to be patient.

"We have not been able to convey the parties who are designated as suspects and the description of the alleged criminal acts that occurred," he said.

The process of collecting evidence, continued Ali, is still being carried out. The summons of witnesses has been carried out and so far 22 people have been summoned, consisting of BPN employees, BUMD employees, the private sector and notaries.
