Waskita Karya Got A Flood Control Contract At NTB Bima Worth Rp. 114 Billion

JAKARTA - PT Waskita Karya Tbk (WSKT) has again added the value of a new contract (NKB), where this time the company received a project for the rehabilitation and reconstruction of flood control buildings in Bima City and Bima Regency, West Nusa Tenggara (NTB). This project is worth Rp. 114 billion and will be completed for 193 calendar days. Waskita's scope of work in this project includes 11.5 km of flow normalization work (Bima Regency); 11.9 km of embankment (Bima Regency) work; 3.8 km of parapet (Bima Regency) length; cliff strengthening work (Bima Regency) of 9.4 km; and 2 km of rock acquisition work (Bima City). Senior Vice President (SVP) of the Company's Corporate Secretary Novianto Ari Nugroho explained that the implementation of rehabilitation and reconstruction of flood control buildings was intended to improve the physical condition of the river by normalizing and creating flood embankments so that river capacity could be increased to accommodate flood discharge, accompanied by rock strengthening to protect cliffs from vertical or horizontal erosion. "It is hoped that this step can prevent and reduce the damaged power caused by flooding and improve the function of rivers in flood management and control," said Novianto in a written statement, Friday, July 8. The signing of the contract was carried out by SVP Infrastructure I Division I Nyoman Agus Pastima and Commitment Making Officers (PPK) of the River and Beach Activities Unit II of the Ministry of Public Works and Public Housing (PUPR) Lalu Nasrudin which took place at the Sungai Regional Center Office (BBWS) Nusa Tenggara I West Nusa Tenggara on Monday, June 20, 2022. The signing was also witnessed directly by the Head of the Sungai Nusa Tenggara 1 River Basin Center Hendra Ahyadi, the Head of the NTB Province High Prosecutor's Office Sungarpin, and the SVP Marketing Division of PT Waskita Karya Tbk Luki Danardi.
